Another great read from this awesome writer, this is a look at how Kimball became who he is in the other books, his love for his family, all that takes place while trying to do the right thing and help someone. What a hero even at a young age. Could not put it down, cheering for this man all the way through. If you haven't read any of the Vatican Knights books, you do not know what you are missing and I am not saying that as my name is in the book though she is not based on me at all and has nothing to do with me, but it was cool to see it in print. Read one and you will be hooked on the entire serious .it has not disappointed great writing can't wait to finish.
Glad this was written, explains a lot of who Kimball Hayden is and how he became the man he is today and why he struggles with forgiveness. I suggest reading this first, then start the series. My hope is that Mr. Jones will continue with this story line.
I always know when I pick up a Rick Jones book that I won't be able to put it down. This story of how a man comes to be? It's more than a little hard to delve into the dark of man- and yet, these warriors are so necessary. Great read- but I have to sleep for, like 20 minutes before my day starts again. It was worth it.
The story was very interesting and had the right amount of action and character development. This book was less repetitive than the others in this series, although there were some parts that were not necessary. Kimball Hayden being born into the darkness. What's not to like about the concept.
Could not put this book down. Easy to read. Clear and precise. Great story. On to the next in the series. Happily addicted to this writer and his characters.
Wonderful writing, just a few grammatical errors, good dialog, (wish there was more joking and camaraderie between Kimball and the other Knights.) I also wish for Kimball Hayden to find a love match that lives and loves him back, also a father figure that won't be taken from him. He's a remarkable hero. The eighth book was kind of hard to get a hold of. Thank you, Rick Jones, please keep them coming....Amarillo Turtle
